Aaron Schillinger is a director, producer and editor. His films include the award-winning documentary Boblo Boats: A Detroit Ferry Tale (2022), narrated by Martha Reeves and distributed by PBS, and Detroit's Olympic Uprising (2024), which premiered on Fox during the 2024 Summer Olympics. Aaron is also cofounder of the Sarah E. Ray Project, an organization shining a light on the forgotten story of a Detroit civil rights pioneer. He's currently at work on One Nation Under Sod, a documentary about the religion America built around the lawn, and what our yards say about us.

Aaron graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. He lives in Ferndale, Michigan, with his wife, son and an ornery macaw named Sinbad. When he’s not making movies, you can find Aaron foraging for wild edibles, reading sci-fi books and losing at overly complicated board games.
